Strokes of Eucalyptus
July 2025
It was Eucalyptus that first welcomed me to the Panhandle in San Francisco. Curved strokes scattered on the ground, as if someone had been practicing her caligraphy.

Some short, some long. Some narrow, some wide. Some gentle arcs, some nearly full circles.

To hold onto this amazement, I translated it into a print.

Now it hangs on my wall- an homage to the spirits of Ruth Asawa and Kunie Sugiura, whose works at SFMOMA charmed me the other day.
